City and county government officials on all levels gathered to attend the 3rd Federal Opportunity Zones Conference at Ogeechee Technical College on April 30, 2019. Hosted by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, this one-day session focused on educating FOZ communities on updated legislation, current types of investments happening in these zones, and what community leaders need to know about developing their own community plan to attract investors. Walter Davis, Peachtree Providence Partners founder joined the group of presenters to discuss Opportunity Zone investments, and investments currently happening in federal opportunity zones.
“I was delighted to join my friends at the Georgia Department of Consumer Affairs for another informative session in Statesboro GA. Commissioner Christopher Nunn and his team are to be commended for making certain that all parts of the state are educated in the finer points of this program. His team and the Georgia Department of Economic Development are ensuring that rural communities are not being left behind.”
