As the keynote speaker, Davis spoke to an audience of 150 attendees about the Opportunity Zones legislation and then moved into a fireside chat-style discussion with Christopher Nunn, Commissione of the Department of Community Affairs. Davis and Nunn discussed the impact of Opportunity Zones on rural communities. With an audience comprised of those living or interested in rural communities, Davis introduced the idea of multijurisdictional partnerships where small municipalities can collaborate in attracting investors. About Opportunity Zones
Qualified Opportunity Zones are geared to ignite economic growth by increasing the scale of investments going to underserved areas in almost 9,000 designated areas in North America and Puerto Rico. The OZ Program represents one of the most significant policy enactments regarding fostering private investments in low income communities.
